Small fixes first
Pre-Treatment Roof Tune-Up in Brandon
A treatment only helps a roof whose surface is sound. The tune-up clears the short list of small problems the assessment turns up, so the oil goes onto shingles that are sealed, fastened and where they belong.
What a tune-up covers, and what it does not
The tune-up is for minor items found during the roof check. Anything bigger goes to a roofer before treatment is back on the table.
Part of the tune-up
- Sealing exposed nail heads
- Resealing flashing where the old sealant has dried and split
- Securing loose roof vents
- Securing worn or loose pipe boots
- Replacing loose or missing shingles in small spots
Roofer's work, not ours
- Tracking down or stopping an active leak
- Storm damage across a slope
- Rotten or soft decking
- Re-roofing any part of the house
How it works
How the tune-up fits the schedule
Found at the check
Every item on the list comes from the assessment, with photos, so you know what is being fixed and why.
Priced with the treatment
The fixes are quoted next to the treatment price, so you see the whole number before agreeing to either one.
Done before the spray
The fixes go in first, so treatment day starts on a sealed, fastened roof and the dry window goes to the application.
Why the small stuff comes first
Oil cannot close a gap
Treatment restores flexibility to the shingles that are there. It does nothing for a nail backing out or a pipe boot that has split around the pipe.
One plan, one number
Folding the fixes into the treatment plan means fewer visits to arrange and a single price to look at, rather than a surprise once someone is already on the roof.
Bigger problems get named early
If the check turns up something past a tune-up, you hear about it before any work is priced, along with the kind of contractor to call. We would rather lose the job than spray a roof that needs a roofer.
